    Ahmad Bradshaw (cut today), option?

He always seems to be battling injuries. But he's a pretty complete back, with plenty left in the tank. Definitely a guy I would kick the tires on since his injury history will limit him to a lower-mid range contract.

He'll be turning 27, and has less than 1,000 carries in 6 seasons.

Every down back, proven... but injury history exists, serious foot problems, but always seems to play through it

    thoughts?

As I posted in another thread, my first reaction was no, but after thinking about it I wouldn't hate it. When he's healthy he can ball, but he's always injured. The 10-11 season was the only season of his career that he played all 16 games. That year he also fumbled 7 times. On the other hand, he's explosive when healthy and will only be 27 when the season starts. So again, I wouldn't be against checking him out.

Why do people want to keep a guy who quit on his teammates? Put himself above the team.

Mendenhall is a solid RB, but he's nothing special... not the type of player whose resume can make you forget things like that.

Ahmad Bradshaw! Dayum! I'd rather re-sign Willie Parker.

With us having his former OL coach would not shock me if we kicked the tires.

    But I wouldn't do it.

Inability to stay healthy is a huge flag though depending on his role... prolly pass unless hes playing for monopoly money

It's definitely an interesting thing to talk about, especially if the Steelers somehow end up signing him. I personally would rather Bradshaw over Mendenhall, but I don't think that matters too much considering I don't think either player will be a Steeler next year. I do hope that the Steelers bring back John Clay though. I really liked him towards the end of the 2011 season. Hopefully he's back with Pittsburgh again next season.
