I should have read this thread first. Some sane talk and counter points. What u r failing to realize is that Joe has always had the goods. Need I remind u of game winning drives in your house the past few seasons. The problem was cam Cameron put handcuffs on joe, and Jim Caldwell took them off. That and out o line came together. The playoff run is no fluke. The Cam firing couldn't have happened soon enuf.

Flacco winning is good for us. He will take all of Baltimore's cap space and make more than Ben. That will help us because they still have a lot of money in that defense. They will not be hotting the free agent market anytime soon again.

We aren't even gonna sniff the playoffs for the forseeable future. We won't even have another winning season with this bunch.

Someday, maybe 20 years from now, we will have a QB and HC, with a OC and DC that can make a winner.

Haha, one good month and Focko is the second coming huh?
You people do realize Ben was injured all year and has been
dragging lineman around for most of the other years right?
Do you see Focko doing this? Hell no! Wait until he gets
banged up,it's only a matter of time. Elite? C'mon now.
Ben isn't elite either but don't start putting Focko up there.
Get off the purple kool aid.

Ben is elite. Flacco is gonna have to do more then pull four fantastic games out of his butt to convince me.
Proud fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr., Pittsburgh Steelers, Duke Bluedevils, and San Antonio Spurs.

If Ben isn't elite, who is? And what do you base it on?

The issue with this is, Ben was due to collapse at some point. He doesnt throw the ball away to live another down which causes huge plays, and huge "O ****, I hope Ben gets up" moments. Right now and for the rest of Bens career in the Black and Gold, he needs to throw the damn ball away if he wants to keep the Steelers in good positions to make the playoffs and making runs in the playoffs.

Flacco isnt that type of QB, never has been, he is a deep down he field gain a chunk of yardage fast and move the chains. His lines have been better than Bens over the years and he doesnt take a lot of shots. Maybe the injury bug might hit him, but it is not going to be from abuse of sacks/beatings like Ben.

It is time for us to move on from Ben being Ben, now it's time for us to be rooting for Ben to be SMART now in his career if we want to get some sort of longevity out of him, which dwindles every season and after all the hits he takes after the plays.
