He wanted out. Once he stated he wasn't going to stay and wanted out he was gone.

If he didn't do that? They would have waited the four game suspension out.

yeah losing the superbowl MVP and #1 WR for a pick that ended up bringing bryant mcfadden back was a GREAT idea

im so sick of seeing #1 WRs walk away from this team to be left with a bunch of 2s and 3s....buress out, holmes out, wallace probably out (and hes the worst one of the three recent ones) all so we can have a bunch of #2s or wrs that are "great blockers" with a big smile. I kinda hope they draft keenan allen, get ben the guy hes been craving before his career is over

Who cares if we never have a real #1 receiver or let them go after a couple seasons. As long as the Rooneys look like the most moral team int he NFL. I would imagine they had tried unloading Roethlisberger, but were unable to do so.

Art would unload Ben if he could, no doubt.

I don't know about now, but I'm sure they definitely looked into it the season he was suspended.

Having Ben goes against everything Art wants this team to be: Run the ball, play defense, bow to Rooney greatness.

“There’s no question the game has changed,” Rooney said. “The rules allow a lot more in terms of helping the passing game than they ever had, so you have to take advantage of that.”

Just caught the end of our last SB against the Packers, guess who dropped a perfect pass on 4th down at the end of the game?? Wallace!

Then why have we turned Ben into Kordell 1998?

    Why let Wallace walk?

Why run the ball twice from the Dallas 50?

Why run the ball twice from the Cincy 32?

Either Art's a liar or Haley needs to go.
