I'd have to say no ****ing way
"Today, I'm officially retiring a Pittsburgh Steeler. And as much as I will miss football, my teammates, coaches and everything about the game, I don't want to play it in any other uniform. The black and gold runs deep in me, and I will remain a Steeler for life."--Hines Ward
He ate so much that he makes Jabba the Hut look like a slug. There's no way in hell I'd give him a look. We have very limited money to spend and we need to bring back Keenan Lewis, not this useless fat piece of ****.
everyone HATES jamarcus, he is what he is....its really not his fault the raiders and some other teams were dazzled by his gigantic arm and perfect looking spiral...he was a fringe first round talent thriving off of a sugar bowl where he destroyed ND, his measuables gave him a boost in rankings and he went to an awful team for a person like him (with $60 million) to mature as a player and a person.
i dont like want him, but i dont get the hate for him...he was never that good, i didnt expect him to be that good but he can play and he didnt hurt us at all, just a bunch of blind hate for a guy who never lived up to what not many expected him to be
Well... He talks about work ethics and whatnot, yet let his weight plummet to 320 or something like it. I mean, that weight is guard material... And he is still at what... 308? As Ktrain said, thats almost the measurements of a RT in NFL. It'll take him a while to get to a condition level which is just remotely acceptable. Sure, he has all off-season but I would be most careful with this one. I'm not saying its impossible to loose that much weight and get in shape and all that jazz. I just find that given his previous history I find it hard to believe that he'll be able to do it, let alone do it long term.
Best of luck to him though. I would not want him as a Steelers, but he was never really a bad kid as far as I'm concerned. He was just overvalued and then Raiders happened to him. Better players has failed in Oakland.
However much you think you know about football, rest assured that Skip Bayless knows more!
Yes, with Willie Colon gone we need a back-up at Left OG. At 308 lbs. Russel fits the bill. Also, I never heard he had any off-field issues other than littering -- leaving a trail of Snickers wrappers everywhere he went.
STEELSPIKES
Hes had more chances then many of of, and we'll never see that kind of money. Not my fault he wasted his opportunity. No thanks...go flip burgers.
