I think he has hearing loss in one ear and partial loss in another? If this is the guy I am thinking of, I read he was having issues hearing defensive audibles. That could be a major liability. Or an asset: "Sorry Coach, I did not hear the call!"

That said, your main point is correct. No need to get excited as they would not have released Kindle if they thought he would return and perform at a high level. The Steelers would definitely have to do due diligence with medical records, etc.
Don't make the Harrison comparison. You know there is a difference.

I'd definitely consider him. We should kick the tires on him.

Yea, bring him in!!! He only has a bum knee, a bad off field history, and a traumatic brain injury that's left him practically deaf. Brilliant Move!!!

He couldn't even make the game day roster on a team that was missing both their starting OLBs to start the season.

When Suggs returned mid season... Kindle was waived. And even carrying a league minimum salary with no bonus... NOT A SINGLE TEAM CLAIMED HIM. He went to the Baltimore practice squad for the rest of the year. And now, as expected he's been cut.

Just because it's a name you recognize, doesn't mean signing him is a "good move".

    It's a dumb move

If Colon is brought back again as a starter, that is a sign that we are not serious about winning.

The problem is, cutting Colon + Paying someone else to play LG, would cost more (IN CAP SPACE) than keeping Colon to play LG
