That's true. But also how many injuries occurred when bodies were rolled up on?

Too much congestion at the LOS. That's what happens when we have #83, #81, and #46 on the field at the same time telling everyone in the country that we are running.

Having the RB line up 8 1/2 yards behind the LOS on 3rd and 1 has to stop also. He has to cover almost TEN YARDS, to gain ONE.

To answer the original post, the first thing the Steelers have to fix is Art Rooney II. He has to stay out and let the coaches coach.

Why? Arians never got slack. Why should Haley? What's going to make Haley change? It could be 1 year, it could be 10 years, he'll still micro-manage the offense, he'll still sub entirely too much, he'll still be obsessed with getting no hopers like Paulson and Johnson on the field.

Haley's failed dreams of playing ended because of his back. He's living his failed dreams through these players.

The best thing that could happen is Bill Bidwell hires him back to coach the Cards.

Call Rooney and just tell him it would be a good idea to hire a new OC every single season until we make the playoffs then. You must be one of them fans who has sunglasses on every year and thinks that they should win the superbowl every year. This season had no chance whatsoever due to injuries. Injuries on offense/defense constantley week after week. You know what one important aspect of a playoff team needs? The main thing is staying healthy.

Mostly every week this season we had a different offensive line.

Missed Harrison for part of the season, Woodley and Harrison played how many games together?

Troy was out for most of the season.

Ben was out for 3 weeks

    Ike injured

    Keenan Lewis injured

Adams after he established himself as the starting RT got injured

    DD before the season started

    Pouncey being banged up

Colon being injured forcing Legs to start at center

    Mendenhall missing significant time

The only person I think out of our starting lineups this season that has stayed healthy has been Starks/Hampton/Keisel/Timmons/Foote/Wallace

Brown being out a couple weeks.

This team has been dismantled with injuries this season, so to put the blame on Haley alone is an easy way out for an argument. This team is lucky as hell to be given a chance to finish the season at 8-8. So please. Stop acting like this team is going 12-4 or 13-3 every single year. Injuries add up over time. Give Tomlin/Haley a couple more seasons to see what they can do with a healthy Pittsburgh team.

Never understood that myself, and then he line up single set to boot. he has no chance.

I said this in another post that the Steelers don't need re-invent the wheel here. They just have to clean it up a little bit. They always have a couple plays per game that allow the other team to hang around and take tie the game or outright win the game. that is the stuff that needs to be eliminated and cleaned up. IMO, that's gets cleaned up by running a more disciplined camp and getting rid of "Club Tomlin" and turning training camp into what it is supposed to be: a miserable grueling football experience to whip guys minds and bodies into shape.

Spence blew out his knee before the season started. Heath did as well in week 16.

Injuries are an excuse... every team faces a lot of injuries in the NFL today. The Packers are going to the playoffs. Their offensive line was banged up and ****** all year. They have NO running game. They lost Matthews and Woodson, and countless others on their defense. They lost Jennings and Nelson on offense at WR...

Their Franchise QB still got them into the show... Ours choked.

But the Packers QB wasn't hurt either. Don't forget that. Ben is not 100 percent. Also, last I checked, as great as Rodgers is, he folded like a house of cards against the Giants last year. At home.

Also, last I checked, Ben has two rings. Rodgers has one.
The Steeler way...is the only way.
