Terrell Owens and Hines Ward share similar hamstring problems that have kept them out of training camp practices for long stretches this summer. Each hired his own people to try to work it back to health.

Their disparity comes in the styles of the two celebrated NFL wide receivers. Ward has not been the one riding a stationary bicycle on the sideline during practice while wearing a bicycle helmet.

"I'm not that person," said Ward, who will miss his second preseason game tomorrow because of the injury to his left leg. "I do all mine before I get out here. I'm not going to entertain you guys with that. I'm working out twice a day, doing the rehab, I come out early in the morning and before afternoon practice."

Ward, the Super Bowl MVP, injured his hamstring two weeks ago at training camp in Latrobe. He never has missed this much practice time because of an injury in his previous eight NFL seasons. He missed only one game in his NFL career, and that came Oct. 16 when he did not play against Jacksonville because of a hamstring injury. He admitted to being frustrated but not worried about this injury.

I would rather he miss the time now then during the season. Hopefully he will be back to %100 by opening day.

I'm with so much on this one. Its better he misses games now then in the regular season. Plus Hines missed most of camp and pre-season last year and still had 11 TD's in the season. Hines is a gamer and he will be there when it counts.

Preseason isn't needed for Hines. He is a proven veteran. So, I would rather see him rest up for the season instead of having a set back because he rushed back to the field.

Hines doesnt need preseason..let him rehab the way he and his trainers are comfortable. As long as he's good to go when we need him he'll shake off any rust in no time.
