If you keep him, you put strict limits on him going forward.
If you let him go, you'll play him twice per year in Cincy.

I say you got to give the big man at least one chance to have a second chance with the team. There's too many knuckleheads on the special teams to not find somebody else to cut. I guarantee somebody else would jump at the chance to get AT. I'm not surprised that some rookie lineman with Polynesian bloodlines would do what he did but I assumed it would be Amini Silatolu not Ta'Amu.
@EdBouchette: #Steelers cut S Cromartie-Smith, keep rookie DT Alameda Ta'amu on the 53-man roster
I would have a hard time agreeing with keeping Ta'amu around and cutting Van Dyke when the rookie hasn't done anything yet but get arrested. Cutting DCS though, he wasn't going to stay on the roster long term anyway.
Van Dyke is young with a ton of upside and the Steelers liked him last year. I don't see him going anyplace..but you never know.
The real question is who gets cut when DeCastro comes back then it will be the final roster
true. So true.
The Steeler way...is the only way.
