For all of us who are starting to wonder if Tomlin has the fire in his belly or just the cliches in his head; let's get it all out there so that Tomlin can crush all of our doubts this week by unmercifully whooping some ass on the hapless Bengals.

I think Tomlin said "Whoop peoples ass, that's football"
What I see is a guy standing on the sidelines looking like he's had four mimosas while watching the neighbors kid play football.

I think Tomlin said something about unleashing hell the rest of the season?
What I saw was a few Browns-Jaguars games where one of the teams was wearing Steeler uniforms.

I think he said "It's not going to take one performance to get that stench off of us."
I still smell it!

Can't come up with a new one yet as he is busy "tipping his cap" to every other team they play. I say it is time to be more ill-mannered, you know, like players that wear purple and "put a bird on it", like they would say in Portlandia. Wait a second, they did take some ill manners from Oakland, since we now have that penalty thing down to a science like Oakland always did in past seasons. I half expect them to bring back Kemo just to have him run in from the sidelines to cause some more holding penalties or personal fouls.

I'd like to just rip his ass apart for failing to motivate the players to play to the standard, but I don't subscribe to that type of behavior! Let's just get on a 5-7 game winning streak.

The Standard is the Standard means next to nothing at this point. You can preach it all you want but until the players start living up to it and/or you get players that can, it's just much to do about nothing.

Tomlin's a good talker, a lousy coach. Yes, he won super bowl - with Cowher's team. The picks in his tenure suck to the most part. Pouncey good, but never on the field. Had opportunities to draft some good running backs, and blew that. The discipline is a joke. Time management is a joke. Field decisions suck. Get Gruden in there!
