    Bump and Run Coverage

So i missed the beginning of the game due to the Bmore game not being over yet ... but when they switched was when Holmes scored the TD on Ike, and from what it looked like was that he was playing off him (not sure)...

then we switch to straight man to man bump and run , and we lock everybody down ... this is the new defense we need to play and i hope Dick sees this ... the personnel in the secondary is a bump and run team ...

i hope this change is indicator of future defense game planes from Dick

Ike was caught looking in the backfield on that TD and wasn't able to recover.

One thing I found interesting was a tweet from Ken Laird, on Rex Ryan's comments on the Steelers DB's. - "They did a great job of press coverage. They have really big physical corners"

When is the last time you heard anybody said that we have big, physical corners?

I thought Lewis looked especially aggressive. The DBs played a great game today. Ike struggled a little, but he looked like his old self in the second half.

    Bump and Run Coverage

I love we got up on the line and pressed. No easy toss and catch plays (after the first drive)..

Cortez Allen and Keenan Lewis both played some aggressive football today. I wish to God they'd stick with it but you know the Steelers will try and go back to their old ways again.

exactly what i'm talking about , i really hope he sees this... it really tears me apart watching them play 10 yards off to just try to keep people in front of them

What I thought was interesting is that they were STILL playing "bump and run" in the final minutes of the game. Most teams by then play 'loose' and allow things underneath, especially when the game is out of reach.

I think LeBeau read these threads and decided 'enough is enough'.....lol.

How much of that bump and run was because we had the lead late in the game, and how much of it was maybe him actually just playing more aggressive in the secondary?

I'm not complaining at all, it was awesome seeing our DB's playing press coverage even with Troy not in the game.

I want to see if they keep up that style of play when the game is on the line in the 4th quarter.
