This whole stupid scenario could have been avoided if he would have had that damn surgery back in June instead of waiting until training camp!!
Was there any mention ever on why he waited until training camping? I wonder if the Steelers are pissed at him for delaying it like that, do you think he did it on purpose so he could sit out games and still get paid?
    Release the Keisel!

James Harrison hates not playing. And it was the teams say when he got the surgery.

The coach dismissed the idea that Harrison could have undergone the surgery during the spring and simply put it off.

"We address things as they arise," he said. "We felt like the procedure was necessary at this time, so we had it."

Woodley has not stepped up hardly ever when Harrison has not played opposite side of him. Woodley is getting paid a high amount of money for a reason, he doesnt step up in games that Harrison is not there. Yes they double team him once in awhile and DL dropped him back to much for pass coverage last week but he just seems slow. He has a hell of alot of power but Ive said this for 3 seasons now. He need's to lose about 15-20 lbs to be quicker. He is to big for an outside backer.

Weeks 5, 6, 7, 8 last season... The 4 game stretch that Harrison missed due to his broken orbital bone... Those 4 weeks, Woodley absolutely exploded. He was a f*cking force. He had multiple sacks in each of the 4 games in that stretch that Harrison missed, not to mention an INT and a forced intentional grounding for a safety against Arizona. In 2010, Harrison missed 1 game, week 14 against Cincinnati. Woodley had 2 sacks and a pick six. In 2009 and 2008 Harrison didn't miss a game. LaMarr Woodley has stepped up in LITERALLY every single game that Harrison hasn't been there since he became a starter in 2008. And "stepped up" is an understatement. The only time he didn't blow up the stat sheet was last weekend when he rushed the passer only 10 times. 10...

So please... Please tell me how "he doesn't step up in games that Harrison is not there"...

Woodley most certainly did step up at the right time last year before he went down with a hamstring injury. The problem is those first few games he wasn't much of a factor. This year, he can't wait until week 5 as no one knows when Harrison will be back. And LeBeau certainly can't be having him drop back into coverage and ask Chris Carter or Jason Worlids to rush instead.
