Williams, McFadden signed to Steelers practice squad

I liked what I saw out of McFadden the other night, he could quite easily get called up if Sylvester has problems dealing with his injury . . .

Lee and Victorian will both benefit from being around the organisation the most, these two have promise long-term.

Yes, and I'm kind of mystified by the Essex/Lee/Beachum thing. I know they like smart players who are flexible in terms of position (like Essex) but thought Lee was best of the three. I will be interested to see who they add in place of DeCastro. I'm leaning towards its being Essex.

Lee was a scrapper man, did you guys see him get in those scuffles, especially in the Panthers game. That guy has a means streak in him.

Kinda wanted to see Johnson signed to the practice squad to get someone younger under center...but not losing sleep over it. Chuck makes me sick to watch when he's in there...lol.

I was watching Legs in there at Center against the Panthers, a couple times he got up slowly and I was like, are you kidding me, again??!!

hOW CAN Dixon sign to a PS he has too many starts ?

wow only 4 starts i guess Dixon wishes he didn't explore free agency i see it worked out well for him

I find it funny that he left for free agency because he thought he'd get a chance to start, and he didn't even make it on an active roster. Now he's sitting on a practice squad, on a team with TWO QBs on the 53, with one of them being Tyrod freaking Taylor lol.

It seems odd that Dixon, who played in four games over four seasons with the Steelers, would have practice squad eligibility remaining, but his time as the Steelers’ third quarterback helps him in that regard. According to the CBA, “free agent players who were on the Active List for fewer than nine regular season games during their only Accrued Season(s)” are eligble for the practice squad and Dixon’s pre-2011 work was mostly as a third quarterback which, at the time, didn’t count as being part of the Active List and he spent most of last year on the inactive list as well. If it still doesn’t quite fit that Dixon’s eligible for the practice squad, just remember that his presence on the Ravens practice squad means that he’s eligible in the eyes of the league.
