Question Paulson's time on the roster will last until Saunders returns...

David Paulson made the final Steelers roster as a TE, but you have to think that when Wes Saunders gets back from his 4 game suspension that Paulson will be gone. He'd have to somehow manage 6 or 7 catches a game and a few touchdowns to even be considered being kept around. LOL I admit I was hoping that Jamie McCoy might be able to make a name for himself this year; nothing against Paulson but I like to pull for the guys that have been here and trying to make it over the final hurdle type thing.

Personally I think they'll drop Pope once Sanders returns from suspension. Pope is what he is, a mediocre TE. He doesn't block very well and he's not a particularly good receiver at least Paulson has some upside.

Pope seemed to drop a few of Charlie's passes the other night.

Pope,McCoy,Paulson, combined don't have the talent of Saunders I'm telling you he could be an all time great soft hands, speed, good blocker.

Well, at least he has 4 weeks against big time competition to make his case. I'm looking forward to seeing this player. It really doesn't seem like it would take a that much to beat out Pope.

What no one is mentioning is the Steelers will also free up a roster spot on the 4th by doing something with DD. Don't know who they will bring up/in. Obviously, the BPA to help them these opening games. Anyone have any ideas?

But anyhow, maybe Saunders will replace this player and the Steelers keep 4TE's.

That is doubtful sort of forgot about that W. Johnson who is called a FB, but also can do some TE stuff. Yeah, it will probably come down to that 2. Should be an easy call after seeing the players in action 4 weeks.
