I still say we trade wallace out for some o-lineman, he's not welcome here anymore, and I hope he doesn't sign long term with us.
He is the first Steeler play I have ever hated, selfish ****.

Well he does deserve to be paid more than what he does, you can use the lame excuse "Id be happy making $500,000 dollars) but lets think he is making minimum wage 2.7million when he should be making around 8.5-10.5 a year. He has to do whats best for him and his family, but expect him to do wonders this season so he desrves that 12+ mill a season, which will only benefit the Steelers this season. We have seen how many players play lights out for a contract. Lets hope he does that and the Steelers then sign him long-term. He is welcome here though. Stay classy.
We can still franchise him next year, which wouldn't be a bad move.
Wallace's going rate is more than the $8.5M mentioned. Should be more than $11M based on what the Bucs, ridiculously, gave Jackson. Based on that and the way the WR prices are going, $11M might be a bargain in 2 years...lol.
Right now, they got him for dirt cheap on a 2-year $13M deal...so maybe they ride that out for two seasons, but if his success and progress continues, he's going to want even more...
Gilreath should have made the roster I felt he was awesome during preseason and I felt he deserved a spot. But like you said BRC they can always bring him back if there is an injury to someone which you know at some point is probably going to happen namely Sanders who can never seem to stay healthy for an entire season...
i was right about rainey being their 5th WR as their 4th RB. makes sense, had hopes for williams though
