to be honest, i think they needed to sign a body just to take handoffs for this final game. Redman likely wont play. Dwyer may get a few carries but should be limited to the first series if Redman doesnt play. Rainey isnt a 20 carry guy in this league. So you have Batch and Ford to play at least 3 quarters! They needed a body!

Agree 100%! Preseason Game 4 camp body. That leaves them with him, Ford and Batch (none of which should make the team) to get an audition tape together.

I think Redman can be effective if healthy. Mendy is great when he is on, wish he was "on" more often. Im becoming enamored with Dwyer I wanna see more of him.

Why are so many people down on Baron Batch so much? The guy missed all of last season because of an ACL and was a 7th round draft pick for crying out loud. It's not like he was projected to be a Pro Bowler or anything. Give the guy a break!! Let him have more than 3 preseason games. At worst he should be on the practice squad this year and if after next year's preseason he doesn't make the grade, then cut him. Besides, who's he taking playing time from? Redman and Dwyer will be 1a and 1b until Mendenhall comes back and Rainey is going to be the 3rd down/change of pace guy.

Anyway, just my opinion.
