I'm glad to see Jones getting his shot now, he was passed over 2 years ago when they hired Everest. I think he'll do fine.

Give Everest credit though, no return TDs allowed last year.

Our special teams were the reason we didn't make the playoffs a few years ago. Let's not poo poo the importance of our special teams.
The Steeler way...is the only way.

I never nderstood the hiring of Everest in the first place.

I still think there was more to this than that just special teams struggles in camp and preseason so far. His bio was removed from the coaches page almost immediately and all his things were removed from the facility.

Most times the website doesn't even keep the roster that up to date let alone something like coaches bio's.

Yeah, there is something deeper here. Some policy violation or insubordination thing.

Perhaps just a general disagreement about the team, players and philosophy... we'll prolly never find out.

Maybe he was hell bent on AB doing the returns and Tomlin didn't want any part of it. LOL.

Amos Jones reminds me of Keith Butler, constantly getting passed over for a higher position but certainly worthy of it. Now, it's not like Everest was Dick Lebeau or anything, but I'm just glad to see Jones getting his shot. I think they'll do well this year.
