To screen or not to screen

I love the screen...

RB Screens when done correctly are very hard to stop...
WR Bubble Screen (going outside) have their place usually to set up other stuff later on. But if you have someone special catching it may be able to break it once in a while. Not a reliable big play at all...
WR Jailbreaks (going to middle of field) i dont really care for these... a player going "across the grain", using that players skill set and vision, however, im not keen on the force generated by a LB/S hitting my playmaker at when both parties are at full speed, scares me a little. However can generally be bigger plays than the bubble screen.

IF you've spent any time reading CHiefs boards you'll see something quite familiar. A whole pile of posts complaining about Haley's use of the bubble screen and running a draw on 3rd and long.

Don't read the chiefs boards. Hasn't been a reason to read about them since Lenny Dawson left the team. But with Rainey on this team, it's just too tempting...gotta use the screen play big time!

If you're interested in knowing what Haley's tendencies are then you read about the teams he's worked with. Pretty simple concept and it's a far better indicator then guessing.
