Bill Belichick and the Pats are masters of the salary cap. What sets them apart from the Steelers, and not that one is necessarily better or worse than the other, is that they have absolutely no allegiance to older players. They will cut a veteran while he's still playing well and use that money on other players.
You wouldn't see them hanging onto a Farrior, Ward, or Smith..they just don't do it. The only player they live and die by is Tom Brady.
It's not like he commanded big money. He was technically an undrafted FA. He probably got a little more than your typical undrafted FA.
Still, he's going to be a heck of an addition to their special teams. Him returning punts & kickoffs.

Absolutely, plus he's gonna be a weapon in the screen game and out of the backfield. He'll get some reps at reciever as well. He compares favorably to Jacoby Ford.
