Undrafted FA last year from Wisconsin. Bounced around a few practice squads. they're making a big deal about him because, so far, he's the only receiver that's shown anything in the 5th WR competition.
well he just made another nice play
The coaches said earlier that they were going to get Gilreath the ball alot tonight to see if he was ready to step up. He had himself himself a damn good game, 4 catches for 78 yds.
Nobody else has stepped up behind the starters so I was happy to see him come through.
I was encouraged by his play tonight. He has some good speed and he showed the ability to pluck the ball and fight for extra yardage. He put together a nice night.
If he closes out the pre-season like this, he will score himself a spot no worries. Great seeing him grab the ball high a few times, though he isn't that tall and his vertical leap isn't that big, so his timing must have been good.

Might be our next Starting WR, especially if Wallace doesn't show.
Cleveland Browns suck!
That's terribly unlikely.
Anyway, in college Gilreath was a much better returner than he was receiver, where he was kind of mediocre. Granted, Wisconsin ran a run-first offense and he never got to play when they had a notable quarterback (Russel Wilson), but still. He wasn't anything special. That, and he is built like a twig. He's listed at 5'11'' 169.
That said, he looked pretty good tonight, all standard preseason caveats aside.
I thought he played good.
Cleveland Browns suck!
