There's no way I'd feel comfortable with JJ in there over Batch or Lefty in a playoff game or any other big game in the preseason. Sooner or later though something has to give with these old backups the Steelers keep around. Batch and Lefty aren't going to last forever so maybe you drop one and try to groom Johnson for the future, even if he doesn't turn out to be a starter at some point he could be a solid backup for a long time.
he super-sized my fries yesterday
I agree for the most part, although I do not believe that JJ is the answer. I would keep Batch/Lefty this year, let Batch "retire" a la Arians (in other words force him out) at the end of the season, and draft 4-5 round guy to groom next season. We would have Lefty as the competent backup (given a good OL, he is that) and a young gun for the future. Until then, we are blessed to have two competent backups that can at least win some games if necessary.

honestly, 2 games in, JJ isnt good enough to make the roster...

GET RID OF leftwich he cannot move at least Batch can still move a little
I want to see JJ play next week. Didn't see the Philly game, so I can't comment on his performance there.
Tailgating in the 'burgh
Lefty is still serviceable. Heck back in 08 he was pretty darn good when he relieved Ben. Too bad he gets hurt every year.
I like big hits and I cannot lie
