Replay officials a bit inconsistent wouldn't you say? (Luck slide TD run)

So let's see, the Steelers backup defense inside the 5 holds after what was called a TD but then reversed after review booth up stairs said the ball didn't cross the plane of the goal.

Then Luck takes off on a bootleg and slides into the endzone but that knee was down and the review booth took all of about 5 seconds to look at it? Had this been the regular season the Steelers sideline would have blown up about that bad miss call.

They're not calling many penalties though which I'm in favor of

They are seeming to let things like Holding, slide an awful lot. I'm in favor it when it's not against us. The replacements on the field aren't doing a bad job but the replay guys up stairs seem to review what they feel like to keep the game moving.

Oh the replay officials, very true. Yeah I don't know what they were looking at up there.

Holding though, is pretty much the only thing that I would like to be called more often. The BS personal fouls and unnecessary roughness penalties though can stay with Ed Hochuli.

Regular officials blow as many calls as these guys did tonight. I didn't think they were all that bad. The regular guys don't call holding at all so I'm not sure I saw a bit of difference in the number of holding calls tonight from the usual.

Yeah it's the replay officials that I was wondering about because you can't challenge a scoring play anymore since they are all reviewed. They had just reviewed that TD run the play before and reversed the call after about 5 full minutes of looking at it, then the next play they were like, oh he's in just move on.. WTH..

You should be able to challenge a challenge..LOL

All I can really think is that they were trying to move the game along. Yeah, it's a little unprofessional but it is just a preseason game and those challenges take forever.

Totally agree--but someone needs to explain to them what a chop block really is...Those 15 yarders in regular season can be a killer, and it's even worse when they didn't even do what they're penalized for.
