Exclamation Mike Adams and the Offensive line looking rough in the preseason opener

He looked like a rookie tonight that's for sure, but it's to be expected. He was schooled on the outside pass rush of the wide defenders. He allowed 2 sacks I believe but also recovered both fumbles. DeCastro was a bit better. The whole offensive line looked rough in pass protection. They struggled as a group with the wide angles and quick moves of the Eagles defensive line.

The backups didn't fair much better throughout the game until late when they did a good job in the last 6 minutes or so.

66 appeared to run block well. The rest of the line looked terrible! Again this is the 1st preseason game and will give the team something to work on..

Not worried. 2 rookies and Ramon foster starting in the first preseason game of the season? I'd be surprised if they didn't struggle a bit. Definitely liked what I saw from DeCastro though.

First game playing like a unit? To be expected that they falter a little. Hopefully they pick it up soon.

i thought adams looked promising, about on par with gilbert last year. showed some good recovery footwork, definitely has to engage better.

decastro didnt look physically limited at all, he did look confused though...bs on him having the mental part down and struggling physically, he was thinking too much

Funny about DeCastro, before he said he had the mental part down but needed to work on the physicality of the game. He was run blocking decently as you'd expect but I agree he looked lost in pass blocking like the rest of them. He'll come around in time.

Foster is not a LG, not worried about him though. He's a scrapper.

It's not a concern, yet. Adams and DeCastro are rookies getting their first action. Gilbert is only in his 2nd year. It will take a little time for that line to gel.

I thought Adams and DecCastro both looked good on the move, showed promise in the run game, . . their pass pro needs work, but it is early days and the Eagles are probably the severest test they could have faced . . .

    Beachum looked a little lost . .

Adams' injury is a set back though Max or Essex at LT . . . shuddderrsss
