Well if that's the case than why why did they remove baseball too, and not basketball? It has nothing to do with USA dominance,and everything to do with they are not popular in Europe, and the European nations are very powerful in the IOC.

So as much as everyone loves to bash anything that is in the same sentence as Goodell, it's not ridiculous that Europe is the market that NFL owners have their sights set on.

Although it's true that they don't care as much as we do the idea is to grow into an international sport. Very often we as Americans believe the entire world is between the Atlantic and Pacific and it's simply not the case. It's also a big reason why some don't like us. They joke about our "World Series" or calling the Super Bowl Champs "World Champs".

Rugby is a huge sport around the world but just now starting to grow here. There's no reason why football as we know will not grow across the world. I doubt I'll see it in the Olympics but hopefully my kids will.

I'd be all for Rugby being an Olympic sport, I don't know why it's not already. If you can have ping pong and badminton then you can have Rugby.
