Not at all. Mendy is a big fast back that will only benefit from solidifying the offensive line. I think a lot of the dancing we complain about was due to a lack of any discernable hole for him to attack. It will be awesome to have a running game that's capable of going the distance on any given play again. A true compliment to our passing attack.

I think, as fans, people expect more from a numbers/productivity standpoint from Mendenhall than is actually ever going to happen. Look at the "Elite" QB's in the league and the RB's playing behind them. IF you take Ben, Brady, Brees, Peyton, Rodgers... throw in Stafford, Rivers and Eli too. Look at the RB's behind them and Mendenhall may be the most productive RB of the group. When you have an elite QB your RB is second fiddle. When healthy he's averaged 1100 yards and ten tds, thats pretty good for a guy who is playing in a passing offense!

If the O-Line improves the way everyone is expecting, you won't hear any complaints about Mendenhall running soft. If that first hole is there, he will be consistently breaking runs for 7+ yards, he will rack up 1500, and make the Pro-Bowl.
