Timmons didn't have a great year, and now he's running his mouth saying he's going to get 14 sacks.

Another down year if we put that as the benchmark.

Hopefully Spence can demote Timmons and put him in his place.

Running his mouth saying he's going to get 14 sacks? Dude said he's aiming for 12-14. What's wrong with that? What's wrong with having a goal? How is that "running his mouth saying he's going to have 14 sacks?" Anyway, 14 sacks for a MLB in a 3-4 is unbelievable. Even Patrick Willis only has a career high of 6 in one season. On that note, Timmons has a 7 sack season under his belt. And don't try to twist ****, I'm not saying Timmons is Willis... But he does have the potential to be up there. Bashing Timmons for being optimistic and having a goal is idiotic.

Dude, check the LB injury situation last year. How many combos did Timmons play with? How many positions did he play? You can't be serious, maybe you are trying to stir the board up a bit.

I expect Spence to contribute on ST, and get some playing time here and there as well, but IMO he'll never be a better professional starting MLB than Timmons.

I wouldn't argue that he'll even start next to Timmons in the next few years, but he will not be better than Timmons.

We are not doubting Spence, we just think you are undervaluing Timmons. He is a ILB now and had to play 3 of the 4 LB positions last year. Would you say Big Ben is done if he had to play WR because of injuries in 4 games and did not throw for 4,000 yards? Basically, its the same thing, just the opposite side of the ball.

Ironic that you were the first to bring up the Super Bowls then, no? And we don't think every player is amazing, but you are just seriously under-evaluating Lawrence Timmons. It's not a conspiracy against you...just no one agrees with you on this topic.
