Decent LB with good size. Could provide depth at all the LB positions. However I somehow doubt he will leave with a contract.

I don't see him as anything but a backup in our system to be honest.
However much you think you know about football, rest assured that Skip Bayless knows more!
don't need him we have plenty of LB's ... Harrison, Woodley, Worilds, Carter ... Timmons, Foote, Sly, Spence ... not to mention the 2 UFA Lindsey and the guy from temple forget his name ... I just don't think we need any help and if we do LB isn't the position
would be a good signing, would be like bringinig in keyaron fox a few years ago...typical steeler depth signing
From the SA Homepage: According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, free agent linebacker Brandon Johnson is scheduled to visit the Pittsburgh Steelers today.
Johnson joined the Bengals in 2008 after spending his first 2 years in the league with the Arizona Cardinals. He played in every regular season and post season Bengals game since, the longest active streak on the team. Along with generating over 80 tackles during his first season with the team, Johnson also had 3.5 sacks, 3 interceptions,1 forced fumble, and 14 passes defensed throughout his career wit the Bengals.
Depsite the team's effors to indirectly reduce Johnson's playing time on defense since 2008; by drafting linebackers and signing free agents, <!--more-->Johnson has reshaped his overall importance to the team through playing on special teams. He was team captain of that unit in 2010.
Cincinnati made little effort to bring back Johnson this year after a series of single year deals. With Rey Maualuga, Thomas Howard, starting and Dan Skuta, Dontay Moch, Rodderick Muckelroy and Vincent Rey backing them up on defense there just doesn't seem to be the room to keep Johnson too.
I think it would be a good signing, adding a little experience and depth. Johnson seems durable and versatile.
I wouldn't mind seeing him sign, if the price is right.
He's not going to command that much so it wouldn't be hard to sign him. Much of it probably depends on how confident Keith Butler is in the depth of his group. It's going to be hard for any new face to make final 8 (most likely) roster spots as it is now.
I hope a deal gets done.
He can add experience.
Hightower and Jones will start in NE.. Let our guys play. screw this stuff.
