wrong thread...opps...lol
Batch tore an acl making a cut... That is not good.
I hear ya. But Rainey doesn't run well between the tackles. He trys to bounce everything outside. We saw that in Reggie Bush for years and how'd that turn out before he learned to run inside last year?
I'm not saying I can't be wrong but I see Rainey as a hell of a special teamer. But that third down back? Well, we'll see.
Since we haven't seen either player take a snap, the assessment is fair. By just reading their bio's, I'd take Batch as the 3rd down back. And Batch will be back.
The Steeler way...is the only way.
Chris Rainey is the definition of versatile. The man is an absolute monster with the ball in his hands. I guarantee you he makes this team. With Antonio brown starting, Chris Rainey will be the primary kick and punt returner. He will see the field on offense. He's just too explosive to not utilize. He could be a monster in the slot and catching out of the backfield. Not to mention he blocked like 312 punts at Florida. As a gators fan who's seen every game Rainey has played, I could not be happier with a fifth round pick. Great value. This is the best draft the steelers have had in a long time.
Only Arians would run Rainey up the Middle into the Tackles...
Arians is gone now Real Deal...
So Rainey should be fine busting around the edges... Catching Passes in the flat... Then try to tackle him... Haley will have a good 3rd down tool here.
