he led the team with 100 tackles, had interception, and was able to call plays and led them to the playoffs in Denver, WHICH they could have won if he was able to play, but instead they lost and he wasn't playing. Asset to team much?!

They can definitely grab a top notch safety in next years draft, BUT if they want a solid back-up to groom they should look into Michigan State FS Trenton Robinson and have him learn behind Troy and Ryan. Besides Troy and Ryan may be getting older but that didn't stop them from contributing to the #1 defense in the league
I'd like for them to take a safety in the 4th round. One with real potential that can contribute later in the season.
The Steeler way...is the only way.
Or groom someone from with in...

It's kind of obvious from our playoff loss to Denver that we don't have that "someone" from within. And considering we are opening up in Denver, where Ryan Clark won't be able to play yet again, we will get torched if we don't have our safety questions resolved. Add to that the fact that Troy is always hurt too. We need to get some additional players in the secondary.

Troy and Ryan are a good combo because they play very well together. I'd say draft a safety next year
