I like the signing a lot. Charlie has played well, plus if we draft a rookie QB this year Batch could do wonders with his development.

Ben is a tough S.O.B. anyway, wild horses have to pull him out of the game. Let Dixon and Leftwich get on with their life's work and draft a nice QB to groom for the long term. Leftwich hasn't done much the past 3 years anyway for the money he has been paid.

I still keep coming back to Troy Smith, I'd like to see him take on a Slash role. That's something that Mike Mularkey or Ken Whisenhunt would do but not something that Arians would do regularly.

Haley thinks out side the box, Smith could be a weapon in other areas besides QB.

As far as Batch goes, I'm glad he's back. Yeah he's old but he'll last for another year or two. I agree though sooner or later this team has got to find a backup besides Batch to eventually take over; perhaps Smith is it?

i dont think troy smith offers that, hes more like charlie batch with wheels. hes short, hes got some decent speed but far from great but he does throw a pretty ball
