Thumbs down Did Hines really say he wants to be a Raven?

Did anyone happen to see that Ward says he would love to be a Ratbird,The thought of this just makes me cringe!

Hines did not say that, it was Ed Bouchette I believe that speculated that it could be a logical place for him to play. Remember, most of these players don't hold grudges towards rival teams the way fans do. On gameday, sure, it's on big time but after that they let it go much quicker than we do.

If the Ravens are willing to pay him the money he's looking for, he'll go anywhere.

Besides, it's not like he's going to help them that much. Even with the release of Lee Evans, they are going to want more than what Ward can probably give them.

    Here ya go..

Longtime Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writer Ed Bouchette committed AFC North blasphemy when he brought up the possibility of wide receiver Hines Ward playing for the Baltimore Ravens this season.

The Steelers announced on Wednesday that they plan on releasing the franchise's all-time leading receiver.
“I think he’d love to play in Baltimore," Bouchette told a Pittsburgh radio station. "I don’t think he’s thinking of legacies right now."

Could Ward really defect to his most despised rival? While it's not out of the realm of possibility -- and Ward didn't seem too pleased about the announcement this week -- I don't see the Ravens signing Ward.

    Fair warning,

If Hines does join the Ravens, I won't forgive him. Because he would be doing it out of spite.
The Steeler way...is the only way.

To me even if he is washed up or not, with the rivalry being as intense as it is over the last few years I would see this as a major slap in the face to steeler nation. I realize Rod Woodson did but to me this seems awhole lot different ,just for the fact that the only reason the ratbirds would even sign him is to pry infomation from him and Ward would have to realize that going in ,and I would lose all respect for him .

    x2.
Hines would destroy his legacy as a Steeler if he were foolish and selfish enough to do so.
