I know that some of you wanted the Steelers to take this kid in the draft. Well, I guess it's better late than never.
Myron Rolle signs with Steelers
I wish him the best!!!

More than likely a ST'er and back-up but you certainly can't fault the kid's smarts and efforts as a former Rhoades' Scholar.
Welcome aboard.![]()
I think he was a stretch because he actually was learning things and went to england for a year or so. he must have some brain power... maybe he can get it together. Come on Lake dial him up. Steelers like the smart players..
Rolle was an impressive player during his time at Florida State University making 35 starts at the strong safety position and recording 206 total tackles in his college career. He decided to give up his senior season in order to attend Oxford in order to work on and achieve a Rhodes Scholarship.
After being drafted by the Tennessee Titans, the club released him on September 2, 2011. While highly regarded as an intelligent player, Rolle lacks elite speed and some scouts suggest he does not possess the athleticism to play at the NFL level. Regardless, Rolle is a player of high character and it’s nice to see him get another chance at breaking into the NFL ranks regardless of how high the obstacles facing him might be.
He's got a website with good information about his career and interests.
He had chances to make the Titans roster but couldn't pull it off. If he makes the team he could push Mundy (assuming they bring him back) for his spot but that's a long way off yet. He's got the intelligence to play, that's for sure, but let's see if he can translate into on the field production.
hes slow, but hell so is ryan clark.
super talented regardless of speed...at the very minimum should be an excellent special teamer. low risk high reward
I like the signing. Bye Will Allen. He's smart enough to learn this complicated Defense and contribute and possibly take over for Ryan Clark as Secondary QB.![]()
Type of guy that is easy to root for and really its worth a shot to see if he can offer anything.....
I like this pick up, lets see what Lake can do with him. He seems to be working wonders for C. Allen, maybe he can help Rolle too.
