    Chris Hoke officially retires

Chris Hoke, has announced that he will retire after 11 seasons with Pittsburgh.

Originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Brigham Young University in 2001, Hoke spent the last 11 seasons as one of the most reliable backups on the Steelers’ defense. In 2004, Hoke had his most successful season, recording 27 tackles and one sack. In Hoke’s 18 career starts during the regular season, the Steelers had a record of 17-1.

There will be more from Hoke on Thursday after he talks about his retirement.

    ditto! enjoy your retirement chris!!!
"Today, I'm officially retiring a Pittsburgh Steeler. And as much as I will miss football, my teammates, coaches and everything about the game, I don't want to play it in any other uniform. The black and gold runs deep in me, and I will remain a Steeler for life."--Hines Ward

With this, now you see why I'm looking at that nose tackle from Mississippi. I don't know what's worse, our O-line need or our need at the nose tackle position.

With no pressure up the middle, Woodley and Harrison are not as effective.
The Steeler way...is the only way.

Going to miss seeing Hokie out there. He wasn't flashy, never put up huge numbers but he did his job and could hold his own and then some. That sack dance he had was probably one of the funniest things I've ever seen!
