Kevin Zeitler or Kelechi Osemele in the 1st round

I've started looking at mock drafts here as of late and so far a good number of them having us taking OL in the first round. Obviously it makes total sense and I'd be thrilled. These 2 are both rated in the top 3 Guards in the draft on most mocks that I've seen.

    Osemele and its not close.

If we take a guard they rank

    Decastro
    Konz
    Osemele
    Glenn
    Zeitler

imo anyway...and if you throw tackles in there i like mike adams over glenn

Decastro and Zeitler for me....But I would take Konz over Zeitler.......the idea of Konz at center and Maurkice Pouncey at LG could be interesting.....

I like Osemele but I think he will slide into the 2nd round.....

I think if the Steelers upgrade the interior of the OL they could survive with the OTs they have on the roster and that even means Willie Colon....You know I'm not the biggest Colon fan either.......But I also wouldn't complain if a high pick was used on an OT also......

Two of the first three picks must be OL....They must continue to use high picks along the OL.....Pouncey and Gilbert were a start but the trend must continue......

If the Steelers do not then they must draft a true athletic TE that can make a true difference or a scheme busting WR........

With the skill positions players already on the team I say use the picks on the offensive line......

I wonder if playing left guard would be less of a strain on Pouncey's ankle?

I have Konz as our 1st round pick. He is more polished than Osomele and Zeitler and at this point we don't need any raw talent we need plug and play personel for our first 2 picks so Chapman would be our 2nd round pick two guys that can start from day 1

PS POUNCEY WON'T PLAY GUARD EVER EVEN IF WE DRAFT KONZ HE IS A PRO BOWL CENTER
I do think the Steelers will draft an ILB if their is a top guy on the board before an O-lineman

i dont think its as cut and dry as 2 of the first 3 must be oline, but id like one of them to be....then a MLB, CB, FS, NT, DE, or even RB be the other two.

and while i dont think pouncey would ever play guard, i think he would be amazing there...hes already incredible at the second level, as a guard he would be a wrecking ball

also i REALLY like brandon washington i cant believe i forgot to add him in that list.

and i think the steelers tackles would be absolutely fine if we upgrade the guards...again i use the saints as an example, i cant believe they are willing to let nicks walk, i know they paid evans big but the reason they do so much of what they do is because of their crushing interior line...their tackles look like studs but really are pretty average

I can't fathom the nicks thing either but i guess they can't pay everyone. We have to fix the NT woes to fix our defense NT is the lynch pin of our 3-4 if those linemen don't get eaten up the line of scrimmage breaks down
