3 and 4 man rush got to Ben all day

I said it before the game and I wrote a short article on it. The offensive line had to protect Ben today and keep the rush off him. The Broncos were able to get after Ben with 3 or 4 guys the majority of the time.

In my opinion they didn't run the shotgun enough today. They ran it early in the game and ran it late but got away from it in the middle of the game.

The OL is a complete mess....Injuries played a factor but its clear upgrades at OG need to be made...an OT couldn't hurt as well and **** a center since our supposed great one can't stay on the field.....

Pouncey out, Starks, out, I can't believe they lasted as long as they did today. They just didn't have enough in them when it counted to keep the pressure off Ben. There is no excuse, NONE to allow a 3 man pressure to get to your QB, EVER!

Gotta draft atleast 2 OL in April. Plain and simple. But we'll probably just go with BAP and get a WR or a RB instead.

The lack of quality depth and keeping things status quo with guys like Kemoeatu, Essex, and J Scott is not just going to cut it. You played with fire and lost last year and this year it bit you earlier and put you out of your misery.

Lesson learned the hard way again, the standard is the standard only goes so far with a lack of talent.

The problem for me is, that while it is no powerhouse in terms of talent, the o-line is not THAT bad player for player. It is just injury-prone beyond reason. We have had like 3 games or something where the same o-line played together in a stretch. It is hard to get anything out of an o-line if it keeps getting moved around. That said, of course we need to get more talent to it and ultimately better talent, but it is all in vain if they all get injured anyway.
However much you think you know about football, rest assured that Skip Bayless knows more!

True but I still think our OGs spots are the weakest link.......Plus another OT couldn't hurt....

And I most certainly agree. Foster, kemo and Leg are not answers at guard. I like Gilbert a lot on RT and Starks, I suppose, can work on LT for now, although I doubt he'll be there next season as he wants money and Steelers will have very little of that.

Pouncey needs to stay healthy. That's priority one, without him in the lineup it all falls apart.

Gilbert needs to continue to improve, which I think he will.

I'm ok with Foster at RG but not thrilled.

Kemoeatu arguably had a good last few games of the regular season after getting his job back.

Does Starks want to come back for reasonable money? I would certainly hope so but the trend of drafting interior lines needs to continue. It wasn't broke over night and it won't get fixed overnight.

While we're at it...had Legs not snapped the ball over Ben's head late in the second, we most likely come away with atleast a FG on that drive. Which would give us 3 more points than we had at the end of the game. Weren't we tied with the Broncos at the end of regulation? Hm hm hm.
