Can anyone remember the name of that outfielder we signed 3-4 years ago? We paid a shitload for him and he played like crap. He only lasted for a year but I think were still paying his contract to this day.

I remembered it was Derek Bell. He batted .173 that season.

Well, Lofton, Sanders, and Stairs were pretty good. We just gave them away and got nothing in return. Lofton and Ramirez for Bobby Hill and Jose Hernandez? What the hell kind of a trade is that?

Anyway, I think the player you're thinking about is either Mondesi or Derek Bell. Mondesi had family problems and the Pirates let him go, and Derek Bell went into "operation shutdown mode".
