    Steelers work out 3 players.....

by Aaron Wilson of Scout.com, December 29, 2011 at 9:44 pm ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers worked out three players this week, according to a league source.

They auditioned defensive back Lewis Baker, linebacker Jerrell Freeman and cornerback Walter McFadden.

McFadden is a former Jacksonville Jaguars and Oakland Raiders player who was drafted in the fifth round last year by the Raiders.

He was released during the Raiders' final major roster cutdown this summer.

McFadden registered 87 career tackles at Auburn and intercepted nine passes, returning two for touchdowns.

If you don’t stand behind our troops.....Please feel free to stand in front of them!!!

    --Jack Lambert

"They say that when you're the champs, everybody will try to beat you. Well, I'm glad we're the champs, so bring 'em on, bring 'em all on. If we die, we ain't gonna die running. It's gonna be a fight."

They do this type of stuff all year long, it's just due diligence homework on players they want to keep an eye on for the future. Don't be surprised if some of those names end up being signed in the offseason.
