Steelers sign backup Center to PS

MarkKaboly_Trib According to @SteelersDigest, #Steelers have signed C John Malecki to the practice squad. Malecki went to Franklin Regional and Pitt.
So this tells us possibly a couple things. It could just be a safeguard situation so they don't have to keep moving Legursky to Center and then putting Kemoeatu or Essex in his place when Pouncey goes down.

Or it could be that Pouncey is going to be out longer than thought and they need a backup Center if Legursky's shoulder injury gets worse. Tomlin said Doug could have gone back into the game last Saturday if they needed him too but they held him out since things were going ok.

I think they had a spot and just picked a guy that made sense giving our current situation, I wouldn't read too much into it...

Nothing official as of this minute but Tomlin's weekly press conference starts at Noon today so I'm sure he'll address all of the injuries. Knowing the way he operates though, I can't imagine he'll give us more than the "We'll see how it goes and let his participation dictate his status for next week" type of thing.

Both Pouncey and Big Ben should, apparently, have a decent shot at playing against Browns.
However much you think you know about football, rest assured that Skip Bayless knows more!

I say let em rest, Woodley, Sanders, Ben ,and Pouncey should all rest, worse case were the 5th seed we don't need no more unnecessary injuries playing the miserable Clowns.
