In the first half especially you saw a Steelers offensive line that was firing off the ball in the run game probably as good as they have been all year. The pulling was quick and decisive and they sealed the edges pretty well overall. You saw this especially on the 2nd Mendenhall TD run where he took it outside to his right and then cut back to find the hole for the TD.
They did a allow a couple sacks in the first half, which you can credit the Bengals front 7 as much as blame the Steelers. Cincy's pass rush as good as just about anybody in the league, a tough group for any offensive line to handle.
This group, if they can stay healthy, might be onto something. I know some people aren't sold on Legursky as a starter but if he plays at LG he's not that bad. He seems to be more at home there, than on the right side where he was terrible earlier in the year. Ideally he may not be the long term answer but with Kemoeatu out because of poor performance and a nagging knee injury, Legs is your best option.
Starks
Legursky
Pouncey
Foster
Gilbert
This is your 2011 best offensive line for the Steelers.
Foster injured his ankle though so you have to hope it's not serious but from what we saw he got it rolled up on pretty good.
By the time the 4th quarter hit the game was well in hand and the Steelers went into cruise control. You can't help but like the way this group is playing. Now the question is, can they keep it up? We shall see...
