Most likely because he was going to Start or play more and to work Sanders back into game shape. I think Brown will go back to returning kickoffs next week.

Wondered the same thing throughout the game. Sanders does an adequate job, but Brown excels at the KR position.

Same here, an extra 10 yards plus is huge..

Kick returning too dangerous??? Most people dont have starting WR's returning kicks and that is what Brown has become.

I think it was a way to get Sanders back into the flow of the game early and also keep him ready in the event that he does have to return kicks if Brown were to get injured at some point.

I personally would take AB on kickoffs and punt returns every day of the week but you gotta have backups ready to go as well.

Wasn't Holmes a return man even as a starter?

It wouldn't have mattered who was returning kicks yesterday, someone would have held and the Steelers would have been inside the 20. Special teams blocking was subpar in that game and I imagine Sanders could do a bit better after some more practice and with better blocking in front of him.

Sure because what they had 3 kick off? But if this got into a slug fest those extra chunks would of helped..

I guess I was wondering if this might be a long term thing?
