from what i understand , the FO liked Starks all along, it was a coaching decision to cut Max.

If it was the coaches making the call then someone needs their head examined.

Yeah I heard the same thing as well. The front office wanted Starks back in but the coaches (atleast some of them) were against it. Thank goodness somebody came to their senses. Had Starks not been in there on Sunday that game probably would have fallen apart again. Injuries all over the line again but they didn't miss a beat.
