At QB in the event Ben is unable to go ? I honestly don't think Batch would last one series behind this line and Dixon also seems injury prone.
I know Charlie in the # 2 Qb but starting him could end his career.

It's no fun when the rabbit has the gun
I would go with Dixon based purely on his mobility. Ol' Batch will get killed behind that piss poor excuse of a line!
Bleeding Black and Gold since 86'
Charlie soft Batch will be murdered!

Does it matter really? I'm asking a legit question and not being a smartass......But anyhow I guess I would offer an answer......Batch would get rid of the ball quicker then Dixon......Dixon would have more mobility to escape pressure.....I agree with everybody that Batch probably wouldn't last more then three games behind this OL....lol

You start Batch and change the game plan to short quick slants. When you notice that is actually successful you keep using it when Ben returns.

Or they could be smart and change the gameplan to short passes and save Ben now?! But I digress...
I guess I would probably say Charlie Batch simply for the ability to read defenses and be smart with the ball. However like the rest of you, I'm afraid he won't last 2 games behind our offensive line.
Charlie is the QB without question. The offense would change dramatically as it did for the first four games of last year. Lot more two TE sets and running between the tackles.
If Batch starts against the Titans on Sunday the Steelers better hope the defense that showed up in Week 2 last season down in Nashville when the Steelers created I believe 7 turnovers in that game and won 19-11 shows up Sunday at Heinz Field or the Steelers are in big big trouble in this game. Hasselbeck has looked great these first 3-4 games and if Chris Johnson gets rolling in this game it's going to make stopping that Titans passing game that much more tough. This is a game the Steelers absolutely NEED to win with winnable games up next against the Jags and Cards before the Patriots and Ravens come to town. A win here and you could be sitting at 5-2 going into that Pats game and right in the thick of the AFC race and division race as well. A loss drops you to 2-3 and puts you that much further behind the Ravens who own the tiebraker head to head and have a game in hand on the Steelers now seeing that their bye week is this Sunday...
