QB ranking, instead of Steeler bashing

I can't help but laugh at the crap being discussed about teams and QB's by the media so I figured I'd see what real fans have to say. Here's my categorization of the most talented QB's.

The guy you would want guiding your team for the next 3-5 years:
    1. Brady
    2. Manning P. (giving him the benefit of the doubt)
    3. Roethlisberger
    4. Rodgers
    5. Brees
    6. Ryan
    7. Romo
    8. Manning E.
    9. Rivers
    10. Flacco

    The guys with awesome upside:

    1. Stafford
    2. Freeman
    3. Bradford
    4. Fitzpatrick

The guys who look good but ….way too early to tell:
    1. Newton
    2. Dalton
Who will be Todd Haley's first victim on national TV ...... and when?

I think that the list is ok but Romo wouldn't be on my list any success that he has had is credited to the owner putting just enough talent around him to cover his ineffectivness as a pro. and Flacco doesn't have the stats to be 10th

Romo wouldn't be on my list until I saw him play for the last 3 weeks. He's really impressed me.

LMFAO. Ben before Rivers and Brees, Rodgers?. Please take off the shades. Im sorry I will be ready for the "Well, if they had Bens O-line they would suck" excuse. But Im sorry. As of right now, I would take them 3 over Ben.

I'm going to clarify my interpretation of the thread and really focus on the "building the team over the next three years". What that does is take away the distinction between up and comers and current performers and does just that, it selects a franchise quarterback. It also brings age, injury history, upside, intangibles etc into the equation. I also tried to quantify those who may benefit by being a specific "system quarterback".

    Let the criticism begin:

    Brady
    Rodgers (Just gets better)
Manning, P (Age hurts but more than makes up for it with knowledge and arm)
Roethlisberger (we took him over Rivers back in the day and I stand by it today, WINNER)
    Rivers
Brees (I know, I know maybe I'm afraid he's getting up there a bit in age, or a system QB)
Bradford (I just got a feeling)
    Freeman (I love this kid)
    Manning, E.
Newton (Why not I'm trying to BUILD a team right?)

I'd actually put Rodgers as my number one at this point. He has the accuracy and arm strength you want in a franchise QB, plus he has some mobility unlike Brady, Manning and Brees.

Eli Manning is way too high. He's no way better than Rivers, even though he did win that spectacular super bowl.

Career 80.8 rating, and 162 TDs, 115 INTs. Some more TDs than Rivers but nearly twice the INTs.

    Rivers has a career 96.4 rating, with 140 TDs / 64 INT.

The only two I'd say are better than Roethlisberger right now are Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. Peyton Manning is slipping; Drew Brees has been even more inconsistent than Roethlisberger in his career, and Philip Rivers puts up lots of empty stats.

I love having Ben! PEOPLE REMEMBER what LINE Ben has to deal with. Not one of the other top QBs have this ****** of a line. And ,ost of them would have been knocked out by now the way Ben gets hit.
