Any word on why Fleury is out? Nothing on an injury so I'd imagine it's just to give him a rest, but really? He needs a rest after 2 games?
Back to back games...west coast trip...it's just a rest..plus you need to get some playing time for j

That's what I figured, I'd think he'd be able to go one more game and then give him a rest for the Panthers game. It probably comes down to them wanting him to play in the home opener.

Come on Pens. This isn't an allstar team here. Put in some more goals.

Well, we know what Brett Johnson's weakness is now. He did keep this team in the game though. Putrid performance on the PP, something that isn't foreign to us as a fanbase. What was it? 1/8? Guess that's to be expected when when of your best players on the power play is out. I'll take the point though. 5 points in 3 straight away games ain't too shabby. Finally headed home for the home opener on Tuesday.
Damn goalie. Oh well, it's water under the bridge. Bring on the panthers.
Five points in three games on such a long trip. I'd say that's a solid showing, especially considering that Malkin was out.
Have to give props to Johnson, the dude flat out played. Not the best to have in the shootout, but he does so well throughout a game. Just need some offense.
Also, you guys should make sure to check whether or not you are getting the free preview of Center Ice right now. I have Cox cable and I am getting to catch these games for free; I believe you get the first two weeks of the season.
Monday night football, Tuesday night hockey what's not to love!!

I fell asleep last night, the last thing I remember it was 1-1 with 4 minutes left and we just got a 5 minute major PP. It was nice to have the #1 PP for a couple days. Now back to normal!![]()

I'm not too concerned about the power play faltering last night. Just as they were getting some continuity with Malkin, Neal and Sullivan, Malkin gets hurt. Once he gets back, I'm sure it will improve again. Once Crosby gets back, it could be godly.
Hey, anyone else hate the injury reporting in hockey? Malkin has a lower-body injury. Okay. Can we know if it's his foot, ankle, knee, hamstring, hip, groin, whatever? This has always bugged the hell out of me.
