If you really look at the tape you could see that he did get tangled up in Gilbert's legs but as soon as his knee hits the ground he clearly lunges at ben's knees he could of continued to collape his body thus avoiding contact yes even at full speed!

I agree, but I don't think it was done with malicious intent. It is my feeling he was just caught up in the urgent dynamics of the play as it developed. I think if he knew the consequences of the play beforehand (the potential for injury, not the fine) he would not have continued his momentum.

This league is going to the crapper. A penalty was called on the play, Ben shook it off, it was debatable if it was intentional or not. Those are the facts. Does that really need a fine? Sheeesh . . . .
