It's not who you play, but when you play them.

I guess we will hear more about Manning's neck shortly. Sounds like the progress is much slower than anticipated. Even if he is on the filed in week 3, he may be rusty. The scheduling works in the Steelers favor as we play them in week 3 and the rats play them in week 14. The Colts are a decent team, but I would rather play them in Indy with Painter or Collins at QB than with manning.

I definitely wouldn't mind playing the Colts without Manning or with Manning in his first or second week with a sore neck. Manning always gets the happy feet whenever he starts getting hit. With a bad neck, I could only see him being more jumpy in the pocket. You never know, though. This could all be a ruse if they are taking one from the Patriots handbook.

IDK.... guess it's just me but I want the Steelers to face a healthy Manning . There's no satisfaction in beating a backup QB unless you're a Raven fan.

JMO but i don't see the Colts going anywhere this year even with Manning.

I agree with you on that. But, I can't stand people that point to that and say that is why you won or that is why a certain scenario played out the way it did. It is sort of the same argument as us not having to play the pats when we've won our SBs, it is just an invalid excuse. Bottom line is you prepare for and play against whoever is put on the field in front of you and good teams don't have time to get caught up on who was or wasn't playing. I'm not afraid of the colts w/o manning but I'm not afraid of the colts with manning cause the Steelers have proven they can beat him!

If they don't have Manning they might as well just mail it in. Kerry Collins has proven he can win some games and get hot for a stretch, but for the long haul? No way.

At the end of the year, a win is a win. Teams have faced the Steelers without Ben and in the end they don't care how they get a win as long as they get it. Honestly I wouldn't be sad if Manning wasn't there, but sure it would be nice to beat them with a healthy Manning.

Colts are nothing without Manning. Steelers have proven they are capable of winning without Ben.
    Cleveland Browns suck!

I was looking forward to seeing Woodley/Harrison kick the crap out of Manning but I'll settle for seeing them beat the crap out of old man Kerry Collins....A win is a win no matter what.....Its not the Steelers fault that Manning had neck surgery and is having a slow recovery.......

I could be mistaken, but wasn't he the QB when the Titans beat the Steelers in 2008?
