    Trading for Tebow?

What would a team give up for a franchise quarterback? The Cardinals gave up a second round draft pick along with starting cornerback Dominique Rogers-Cromartie for a very unproven Kevin Kolb. A couple drafts ago, then head coach Josh McDaniels and the Broncos gave up multiple draft picks to move up into the first round to select Tim Tebow...

And now Josh is out of a head coaching job...One of the all time worst moves for a "never gonna be" NFL QB...

I don't think many rookie QBs should come in and start right away..NFL football is so much different than college..I think a young guy should have at least a year or 2 under their belt before they start...I think Tebow is a good guy and a good QB but I think he needs one more year to become a starter. IMO

Let Tebow & Orton compete for the starting job. That is the way it has been done for so long. You need to prove your worth to your coaches and teammates. If you don't get the starting job, keep your fingers crossed that the starter gets injured so you can take over.

Amen...hopefully with the way the new CBA is teams will be more inclined to let their rookie QB's learn from the vets....in the last decade teams have rookie QB's sitting the bench making 100 million dollars and the coaches feel obligated to play these guys whether they are ready or not...all it takes is a player like ben roethlisberger to have the type of rookie season he had and every coach thinks his rookie QB's should get the same type of results...i think there have been many rookie QB's that have been ruined by being forced into playing on bad teams with no support...if these players had been afforded the same opportunity arron rodgers got in green bay the story may have been very different

but i won't count on it...in this day and age coaches are forced into putting in the back up QB's whether they are ready or not because of the public opinion of armchair coaches who don't have a shred of the info the real coaches have on player development
