Ben Roethlisberger: We're working out, we're just keeping it quiet

Ben did an interview during his football camp, the article is posted on his website, www.bigben7.com. Among the things he talked about was the offseason workouts he and his teammates are doing. He mentions on the offense specifically and how they have been working out more than most teams; "as long as we're doing it then we're doing it and that's all that matters. Ben took time during his football camp today to talk to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Ray Fittipaldo.

From the interview:
When asked about keeping quiet about his workouts with teammates during the lockout, Ben said, “That’s kind of how I am. To me, it’s not about letting the world know we’re doing it. As long as we know we’re doing and we’re doing it, that’s all that matters.That’s just how we operate and how I operate. I’ve gotten some letters from people, I’ve heard some things like ‘Why aren’t you working out?’ Well, we are working out. We’ve probably worked out more than most teams. It’s just that we choose to keep it quiet.”

We shouldn't be surprised that the Steelers have been working out, we've talked about it several times this offseason. Nor should be we surprised that they are keeping it quiet; although I am a bit surprised the entire group of guys managed to not let it slip out in their tweets and facebook. LOL

Steelers wide receiver told the Post-Gazette he is doing well after surgery on both feet this off season he has attended player organized team work outs as well as with his own trainer

I'm proud of how these guys are conducting themselves. Their showing togetherness and comraderie and Ben is showing leadership. With the influx of talent the last couple of years; coupled with the leadership of this team, I only see upside for this franchise.

Agreed! If our O line improves (which it should with the return of Starks, Pouncey will only get better for the next few years, addition of Gilbert, etc.) we should be better running the ball and Ben has so many awesome targets that I really will not be surprised if we blow out quite a few teams this year. Add in our incredible D and this should be a great season.
