More then every, we neeeeed to get in the Ashumuga conversation. I know it's not our way to operate in high end free agents but with our pass rush refreshed with Hayward, we can really help the defense by signing Ashumuga.

And who says he wants big, big money?? He's gotten big, big money..seems to me that he wants to be in the playoffs and get a ring. And there are not too many teams who give him that opportunity better then us.
The Steeler way...is the only way.

Pick Analysis: The Steelers opt to upgrade their defensive line instead of addressing their secondary with the selection of Heyward. He gives them another athletic five-technique to throw into the rotation, and his overall skill set is a perfect fit in their "30" scheme. This pick is another illustration of the Steelers stockpiling young players to groom for huge roles down the road.

Well I really wanted a corner in the first round , but I think this guy is a better value pick than Aaron Williams anyway , so I'm happy .

Excited to see this guy suited up as a steeler , I'm sure he won't disapoint .

Next round we get our corner , hopefully we get a good one . Only time will tell .

Many good DB's still on the board, Steelers could trade up so keep that in mind.

As far as Heyward goes, Tomlin knew our DL was aging and more prone to injury. We've ignored this group for a long time up until last year so it's time to infuse youth for the future.

Kevin Colbert on No. 31 pick Cameron Heyward: “Of course, you're familiar with his father ['Ironhead' of Pitt 1985-87]. This is a special moment for this organization, and we're really, really excited to have this kid join us. Really, it was something we hoped could happen. It really looks like the stars kind of aligned for us today. I'm real positive that Cameron feels the same.”
