Well, I'm hoping and praying that the reason they aren't giving anyone the C is because their keeping it open in case Mario comes back 1 more time. I don't even care if it's just 1 game, just as long as I get to see it. I have never seen Lemieux play in person.

I would be pretty angry if Crosby is named the capitan, assistant ok but not captain. He hasnt put in his dues, it would be like naming a sophmore captain in CFB. It should be a honor reserved for one of the hard working vets like Gonchar (who is already Malkins mentor) or the wreckin ball.

2nd on the team in points is really washed up, Crosby already has the reputation around the league of becoming a whiner. Not something you want from your capitan

No offense to Mario but it's kind of gay that they have to honor him by not giving out the C for awhile.

2nd in points on a terrible team isn't anything to write home about. he played like garbage for most of last season. why not have crosby take the "C" now? its bound to happen.

How about 8th in points among defensemen? You arent just given the C, like on every other sports team you have to earn that from your peers by showing you are leader something Crosby needs to work on. Remember being the best on the team doesnt mean your the capitan.
