I think Hood should be a starter next season. I thought he played very well at the end of last season and through the playoffs. If they bench him in favor of someone else, I am sure that will go a long way in building his confidence and improving his ability to play down the line.

Tomlin won't just had over the starting job to Hood but I'm sure he'll get significant reps this coming season. He played very well and is the obvious replacement to Smith at this point in my opinion. Smith is still one of the best in the league when he's healthy, but it's a tough call for the coaches either way. I would say they probably end up splitting time, that would get the young kid on the field and also help keep Aaron healthy and fresh for the latter part of the season.
